Songbird

April 14, 2023

Sing little songbird won’t you sing
Usher in the morning sun
To chase away the darkness with the dawn
Lift your voice high above the trees
Let it echo through the valley
A melody for every ear to hear

Sing little songbird won’t you sing
May it be a tune so sweet
That mockingbirds desire to repeat
Sing it out with joy and don’t be shy
You were made to raise a song
In celebration of this glorious day

Sing little songbird won’t you sing
A reminder of the joy that’s found
In something as simple as a song
Let every creature join in jubilee
Stir our hearts with sweet refrain
A hopeful tune to cling to when you’re gone
